Dear participants, 

thank you for registering for the in-person workshop on July 22nd and July 23rd in Matosinhos, Portugal.

The workshop is a fundamental part of the Horizon Europe project GoDigiBioS which aims at supporting transformative change towards a nature-positive economy and society. For this purpose, we will establish Transformation-labs in different peri-urban regions across Europe. During the two days, we will get to know both the project partner and the practice partner from the three regions 1) Ruse, Bulgaria, 2) Delta del Llobregat, Spain and 3) Matosinhos, Portugal. 

We will explore how ongoing developments, digitalization and emerging technologies impact each of the three region’s biodiversity and societal well-being by conducting a foresight exercise. This exercise helps us understand the likely impacts of future trends, both on the global and the local level, on biodiversity and society in each region.

 

The workshop will start in the morning (9:30) of Tuesday, July 22nd and we will finish in the afternoon (15:00) of Wednesday, July 23rd. We will likely go on an excursion in the region on the afternoon of Day 1 and will have dinner together (optionally of course and self-paid).
