Thank you for registering for the workshop “Exploring habitability in the climate crisis: Insights for EU policymakers”, part of the HABITABLE project, the largest ever EU-funded research project on the topic of climate-related migration and displacement.
Both migration and climate change are prominent issues in the run-up to the upcoming European elections from 6 to 9 June and will spark in-depth discussions on the political prospects of addressing human mobility in the context of climate change in the aftermath. This workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss EU action on climate-related migration and displacement in light of the key messages emerging from the empirical, policy, and scenarios work from the HABITABLE project, with a view to also informing guidelines and recommendations for EU actors on how to improve the management of such migration and reduce the risk of displacement.
