The Korean-German Energy Partnership Team cordially invites you to the Korean-German BESS Event at the Interbattery Europe Showcase on "Fostering the deployment of battery energy storage systems in Korea and Germany" on 8 May 2025 in Munich, Germany.
As Korea and Germany strive to achieve their carbon neutrality targets—2050 and 2045, respectively—advancing renewable energy adoption and fostering flexibility in power systems have become key priorities. This event will bring together experts from Korea and Germany to assess the current state of BESS deployment, provide insights into policy and market frameworks, and explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
Highlights include:
- Welcome remarks by Falk Bömeke (BMWK)
- Insights into the Korean and German BESS markets by Xenia Ritzkowsky (Enervis Energy Advisors) and Daegee Kim (SNE Research)
- A presentation of study results: “Battery Energy Storage Systems in Korea and Germany. Current Status and Prospects”.
- A networking session to connect stakeholders (12:00pm - 12:30pm).
We look forward to an engaging exchange of ideas and the opportunity to deepen collaboration in this pivotal area.
